Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Retrofit Innovations storefront, customer accounts, and orders. By using the storefront or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the storefront or place an order. These Terms begin applying on the effective date above, which is the date they are published.

Storefront use and customer accounts

You agree to provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless prohibited by law. Do not use the storefront to violate law, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or misuse another person’s information.

Product information and vehicle fitment

Product pages describe the parts, kits, options, and known applications offered at the time of purchase. Photographs may show surrounding components that are not included. Product availability, design, and specifications may change, but we will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement where required by law.

You are responsible for providing accurate vehicle make, model, year, master-cylinder selection, and other requested configuration information. Vehicle modifications, prior repairs, component combinations, and differences within a model year may affect fitment. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your application.

Orders, pricing, and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated confirmation means we received the order; it does not require us to accept an order containing a pricing error, unavailable product, suspected fraud, unsupported destination, or incompatible configuration. If we cancel an order after payment, we will issue the refund required for the cancelled order.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. The checkout shows the product price, available shipping charge, any separately disclosed shipping-and-handling fee, and the total before payment approval.

Payments

Storefront payments are offered through PayPal-managed payment options. PayPal authorizes and processes the payment under its applicable terms. We do not offer a separate Retrofit Innovations direct-credit account. An order is not paid until the payment provider and commerce platform confirm successful payment.

Sales and use tax

Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated by the hosted checkout configuration. The order total shown before payment reflects the amount submitted for payment. Nothing here waives tax imposed by law.

Shipping and delivery

We use ordinary shipping services to supported destinations. Available services, estimated charges, and any separate shipping-and-handling fee are shown during checkout after a valid delivery address is entered. Delivery dates and carrier estimates are estimates, not guarantees.

If we cannot ship within a time we promised—or, when no time was stated, within the period required by applicable law—we will provide the delay, cancellation, consent, or refund options required by law. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate, serviceable delivery address and for responding to carrier delivery requirements.

Returns

We accept returns unless the product has been intentionally destroyed or has been damaged by the customer. Customer-caused damage includes damage from misuse, improper handling, alteration, incorrect installation, failure to follow supplied instructions, or use outside the product’s described purpose. This exclusion does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

Contact jeff@retrofitinnovations.com before sending a return. Return-shipping responsibility is decided case by case. Retrofit Innovations generally pays return shipping when appropriate for the circumstances, and the return authorization and instructions will state whether Retrofit Innovations or the customer is responsible for return shipping for that specific return. Do not send an item until you receive those instructions.

We may inspect a returned item before approving a refund. We will notify you after inspection if the refund is approved or if we need more information. We generally submit an approved refund through the original PayPal-managed payment path within about one week after inspection and approval, unless another method or timing is required by law. PayPal, a card issuer, or a bank may take additional time to post the refund after we submit it.

Items damaged on arrival

We will replace an item that arrives broken or damaged. Contact us promptly after delivery and keep the item and packaging while we review the issue. We may request reasonable photographs or carrier information needed to confirm the damage and arrange the replacement. If a replacement cannot reasonably be supplied, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.

Installation and safety

Brake-system components are safety-critical. Kits include installation instructions and an installation disclaimer. You must read and follow the materials supplied with the product, verify compatibility with the complete vehicle and brake system, use appropriate tools and procedures, and inspect and test the installation before road use.

Installation should be performed by a qualified professional if you do not have the knowledge, tools, or experience to complete and verify the work safely. Modification, misuse, incorrect installation, failure to follow the supplied instructions, or use with incompatible components can cause product damage, loss of braking performance, property damage, serious injury, or death. You are responsible for complying with applicable vehicle, equipment, inspection, and road-use requirements.

Limited warranty statement

The damaged-on-arrival remedy above and any express written warranty included with a specific product are the only warranty commitments stated in these Terms. We do not create an additional warranty period through this page. Customer-caused damage, intentional destruction, misuse, alteration, incompatible use, and incorrect installation are excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Retrofit Innovations will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the storefront or a product. Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

Intellectual property

The storefront’s branding, design, text, graphics, photographs, videos, and other content are owned by Retrofit Innovations or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the storefront only for personal or internal business purchasing purposes. No other right is granted except as required by law or confirmed in writing.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the storefront, products, practices, or applicable requirements. Updated Terms apply from their stated effective date, and we will publish them on the date they begin applying. The Terms in effect when an order is placed continue to govern that order unless law requires otherwise.
